Seven men and seven women will determine the fate of 56-year-old Timothy Hauschultz.
The jury was selected yesterday for the case, and opening statements will be delivered this morning in the Manitowoc County Courthouse.
Hauschultz is facing charges linked to the 2018 death of his great-nephew, 7-year-old Ethan Hauschultz.
Timothy allegedly ordered Damian Hauschultz to carry out a punishment, including carrying a heavy log around the yard, for not knowing his bible verses.
Damian was convicted in the death and is expected to testify in Timothy’s case.
His wife, Tina McKeever-Hauschultz, was previously convicted for her role in the case and has served her five-year prison sentence.
