Madison police are investigating after a woman was found dead along a bike path early yesterday morning.
Officers and emergency crews responded to the 200 block of South Ingersoll Street around 6:20 a.m., where they discovered the body of a woman in her 50s.
Investigators say they located drug paraphernalia at the scene, but there were no initial signs of foul play.
The medical examiner’s office is assisting as authorities work to determine the exact cause of death.
