David J. Maule, age 76, of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Magnolia Meadows, Manitowoc.
David was born on September 29, 1950 in Manitowoc, son of the late Clifford and Rita (Strauss) Maule. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1969 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. David then served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Saratoga. On June 5, 1971, David married the former Margaret “Peggy” Meyer at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He was a member of the Manitowoc Rifle and Pistol Club and enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, motorcycle riding and photography.
David is survived by his wife: Peggy Maule, Manitowoc; three children: Becky (Ross) Glasheen, Appleton, Zackary (Nikki) Maule, Manitowoc, Joshua (Kendra) Maule, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Mikayla (Larry) Kaczroske, Harshaw, Samantha Glasheen and her fiancé Juan Baez, Menasha, Breydon Glasheen, Appleton, Abigail Maule, Mishicot, Parker Maule, Mishicot, Mason Maule, Mishicot; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Edmund Meyer Jr., Two Rivers, Susan (Paul) Bieberitz, AK; best friend: Steve Delsman, Manitowoc; special friend: Kurt Sipiorski, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Rita Maule; one sister and brother-in-law: Kathleen (Gary) Knox; sister-in-law: Janice Meyer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center, 3613 Waldo Blvd, Manitowoc. Deacon Mark LeGreve will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Lakeshore Life Celebration from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Military Honors will be accorded by Vietnam Veterans Chapter #731.
