There are two meetings on the docket for today (October 12th) in the City of Manitowoc.
Up first is the Manitowoc Public Utilities Commission, which will be in the MPU Offices on South 8th Street at 4:00 p.m.
After electing their slate of officers, the Commission will review the August financial report and the CEO and General Manager’s reports. They will also get an update on the Central Brown County Water Authority and Horizon Blend Pellets LLC.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Public Safety Committee will be in the Council Chambers, where they will hear comments from the public.
After receiving their usual monthly reports, the group will review a sex offender residency board appeal submitted by Jovanni Rey Ortiz, and a request for a four-way stop at the intersection of South 21st and Flambeau Streets.
The group will also discuss some speeding concerns raised for the section of Menasha Avenue from Platt Street to Risch Lane, the section of the Municipal Code related to prohibited parking, and the EMS service contract with the Town of Kossuth.
