
The Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers pulled away in the second half to defeat the Reedsville Panthers 42-0 in front of a capacity crowd at Coach Heidrich Field Friday night at Lancer Circle.
The game was scoreless in the first quarter until the Lancers scored on a 33-yard touchdown run by Josiah Martin a minute into the second quarter.
Then with 18.9 seconds to go before halftime quarterback Aaden Krause hit Charlie Vogel with a 59-yard touchdown pass to give the Lancers a 14 to 0 halftime lead.
Manitowoc Lutheran came out strong in the second half, scoring 21 points in the third quarter to go up 35 to 0 and adding another touchdown in the fourth quarter to make the final score 42 to 0.
The Lancers produced 386 total yards rushing (250 rushing, 136 passing) while Reedsville had only 35 total yards of offense for the entire game.
Senior Josiah Martin had another huge game for Manitowoc Lutheran, rushing for 88 yards and three touchdowns, bringing his season total to 18 touchdowns.
Sophomore Ethan Brooks had a 28-yard touchdown run, and Tobin Spencer added a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to complete the Lancers’ scoring.
19 seniors played their final regular-season home game to help Manitowoc Lutheran extend their Big East Conference winning streak to 17 games, dating back to the 2024 season, and gain no worse than a tie for the Big East Conference title.
The Lancers improve to 6 and 0 in The Big East, 8 and 0 on the season, while Reedsville fell to 2 and 4 in The Big East and 2 and 6 on the season.
