The Rotary Club of Two Rivers and Lester Public Library have partnered to launch The Memory Kit Project.
This project will be presented at an open house on October 15th at Lester Public Library in Two Rivers.
Here, Bonnie Nuttkinson will lead a presentation of Where Did I Put My Keys? Should I Worry?
She will discuss how to recognize the difference between memory change and Alzheimer’s.
Attendees will be able to check out the Memory Kits, and these contain items that will help stimulate the senses, invite connections, and spark memories.
The items selected have been researched and are proven to improve lasting memories.
There are different kits based on different stages of dementia, and each kit provides the user with a different set of items.
This is an opportunity for those struggling with memory loss to connect with those in their community and receive tools to assist them in their journey.
