A former personality on WCUB has passed away.
Robert Leberak, known on air as Lee Berry, died on October 3rd at the age of 86.
In his obituary, it says Leberak was known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather while never being afraid to be exactly who he was.
He also enjoyed the simple things in life, like spending time at a park, zoo, or riverfront, while sharing a picnic lunch with love from the love of his life.
Bob also served six years with the U.S. Navy. Robert was also known as the “voice you heard from the fishing boat or from the studio of WCUB.”
Leberak’s funeral takes place next Monday (October 12th) at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Grand Avenue at 1:00 p.m, but the family will greet visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
