Manitowoc Fire Rescue will recognize a new resource with a special blessing.
The department’s Safe Haven Baby Box will be blessed on Wednesday, October 28th at 12:00 p.m. at Manitowoc Fire Station #3 on Dewey Street.
The event includes a short presentation recognizing the many community partners and donors who made the project possible.
Father Nico from St. Francis of Assisi Parish will conduct the blessing.
The Safe Haven Baby Box provides a safe, confidential option for a parent in crisis to surrender their newborn child in accordance with the State of Wisconsin’s Safe Haven law.
