A former teacher in Plymouth has been convicted of sexually assaulting a student.
44-year-old Marcie Zimmerman was convicted of two counts of Sexual Assault of a Student by School Staff in Fond du Lac County yesterday (October 6th), while two additional counts of Sexual Intercourse with a Child 16 or Older while 19 or Older, and one count of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material, were dismissed but read into the record.
While a teacher in Sheboygan County, these charges were filed in Fond du Lac County, where she resided at the time, as the sexual assaults are said to have occurred at her home.
Prior to her time in the Plymouth School District, she also served as an agricultural teacher at Reedsville High School.
After being found guilty, Zimmerman will now return to court in Fond du Lac County on January 8th to be sentenced.
Until then, she remains in custody on an unfurnished $250,000 cash bail.
