A 20-year-old Fond du Lac man is accused of violently attacking his father.
The Fond du Lac Police Department was dispatched to a domestic violence call in the 100 block of East 1st Street just after 2:00 Monday morning.
When they arrived, they learned a 20-year-old man had stabbed his 46-year-old father multiple times and struck him with a hammer.
Immediate medical aid was administered by police, and the father was airlifted to a regional medical center.
He underwent surgery upon his arrival and is said to be in stable condition.
The 20-year-old also sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
At this point, it is unclear if any arrests have been made, as detectives are still actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
