Water utility work will cause a road closure in Sheboygan this week.
The City’s Department of Public Works has shared that Sheboygan Water Utility crews will be conducting work on Indiana Avenue, east of South Taylor Drive, between Wednesday (October 7th) and Friday (October 9th).
Work will begin at &:00 a.m. on Wednesday and is expected to be completed by noon on Friday.
While work is being done, westbound traffic on Indiana will be closed at South 17th Street, while eastbound traffic will remain open but be reduced to a single lane.
A detour will be in place, taking westbound traffic south on 17th Street, west on Georgia Avenue, west on Union Avenue, and north on South Taylor Drive back to Indiana Avenue.
On the project, the DPW explains, “This work is necessary to maintain the reliability of the City’s water distribution system…Please use caution and slow down in construction zones.”
All work and related traffic impacts are weather-dependent and may be subject to change.
