Habitat Lakesides Rock the Block has finished eight home repair projects in just one day.
On September 18th, nearly 40 volunteers gathered to complete household repair projects for eight of their neighbors.
They did a plethora of tasks, including mowing lawn, cleaning gutters, and replacing doors and stairs.
“I was so happy to have a helping organization to help with the projects,” says one of the homeowners who was assisted by this event.
Le’Shay Guy is Habitat Lakeside’s Executive Director, and one of her favorite parts of this event is the connections made along the way, noting, “I am most excited to see the continuation of partnerships afterwards.”
This annual neighborhood revitalization event works to build communities and connect those who want to give back.
