Manitowoc Lutheran, Manitowoc Lincoln, and Two Rivers are among the more than 60 schools to participate in the annual Kris Greening Cross Country Invitational at the Tuscumbia Golf Course in Green Lake.
The meet is named in honor of Krisopher ‘Kris” Greening, a 15-year-old high school student from Ripon who was tragically killed in a car accident on November 2nd, 1997.
Kris was a high-honors and dedicated multi-sport student-athlete who lettered in cross country and helped the Tigers to a state runner-up finish before his passing.
Sheboygan Lutheran, Cedar Grove-Belgium and Ozaukee are also in the field, with racing scheduled to begin at 7:20 p.m.
In boys’ soccer, Kohler travels to Milwaukee to battle University School, Cedar Grove-Belgium hosts Heritage Christian of New Berlin, and Random Lake/ Ozaukee welcomes Lourdes/Valley Christian of Oshkosh.
