The public is invited to celebrate Fire Prevention Week with the Plymouth Fire Department.
Fire Prevention Week is nationally recognized from October 4th through the 10th, with this year’s theme being “Charge Into Fire Safety. Safe Charging Is a Superpower.”
To celebrate and encourage safe practices in the community, the Plymouth Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Prevention Week Open House at the City’s Fire Station, located at 111 East Main Street.
The event will be held on October 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The open house will allow residents to meet Plymouth’s firefighters, check out the trucks up close, and learn how to keep your family safe at home.
Children will also have the chance to spray a real fire hose and win a bike in a raffle, while adults can witness a live stove fire safety presentation.
The event is open to the public and free to attend.
More information on the event can be found by visiting the City of Plymouth Fire and Rescue Facebook page.
