The state of Wisconsin is seeing more and more students getting involved in the workforce early through youth apprenticeship.
According to YA Wisconsin – Youth Apprenticeship, over 12,100 students participated in the program in the 2025-2026 school year, which marks the fifth consecutive year of record enrollment.
Of those students, more than one in five participated through CESA 6, one of Eastern Wisconsin’s regions of the Cooperative Educational Service Agency.
CESA 6 operates from Outagamie County south to Washington County, and as far west as Green Lake County.
The Lakeshore’s branch is CESA 7, which covers Sheboygan up to Door County as well as Brown and Calumet Counties.
The YA program noted, “None of this would be possible without our incredible students, families, schools, employers, mentors, and community partners. Thank you for continuing to believe in Youth Apprenticeship and helping us create opportunities for the next generation.”
