After much success in its first year, the Sheboygan Film Festival is officially back.
The second annual event will premiere today (October 1st) at the Stephanie H. Weill Center, followed by three days of short films, filmmaker workshops, documentaries, and celebrating Midwest filmmaking.
Tonight, festivities will begin at the Weill Center at 6:00 p.m. with a red carpet entrance prior to a 7:00 p.m. screening of this year’s opening-night film, Chili Finger, a 2026 crime dramedy.
After the screening, festivities will continue with live music and a cash bar at the Weill Center.
Through Sunday (October 4th), films will be shown across Sheboygan at various locations, including the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and Jake’s, a Lakeland Community.
Meanwhile, those looking to hone their filmmaking craft or get introduced to what goes on behind the scenes of a film production can do so with various producer- and director-led workshops covering a wide variety of topics.
The festival will then close on Sunday with a screening of Remaining Native at 3:30 p.m.
