Two Rivers residents are encouraged to join in on the City’s upcoming budget discussions.
The City explains that the Personnel & Finance Committee will start working through the proposed 2027 operating budgets today (October 1st), and wants residents to get involved in those talks.
Over the next two months, the City will be holding numerous public budget review sessions which are scheduled for October 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
On what will be discussed and how residents can play a part, the City explained, “City budgets involve choices. Streets, parks, public safety, utilities, economic development, staffing, services, and taxes all compete for limited resources. Those conversations are better when residents are part of them.”
This lengthy process will culminate with the City Council Budget Public Hearing on November 30th, followed by the consideration of the final 2027 budget on December 7th.
Concerned residents can find a complete schedule of pertinent dates regarding the formulation of the 2027 budget can be found on the City of Two Rivers Facebook page.
