A Green Bay man’s conviction for a 2019 attempted homicide has been upheld by the state’s highest court.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court issued its ruling yesterday in the case of Shaquille Hamilton, who was first convicted in 2021 for shooting his friend in the face and chest during a disagreement.
Hamilton and his defense team claimed that the court failed to grant his motion for a new trial when new evidence came to light, but the Supreme Court ruled “ there was not a reasonable probability that a jury, hearing this new evidence, would have had a reasonable doubt as to Hamilton’s guilt.”
