The Manitowoc Lincoln Cross Country team hosted their largest meet of the season over the weekend, welcoming 21 teams to the lakeshore area.
Starting with the girls varsity results, Green Bay Preble took home the gold at the 49th Annual Len Nikolai Invitational with a score of 71, followed by New Berlin Eisenhower with 77 and Wauwatosa East.
The host Ships finished in 7th with 223 points, led by Norah Free’s 13th place finish. Natalie Portman was their next fastest runner, coming in a #23.
As for the boys, Steven’s Point dominated the event, earning the top three finishes, along with #7 and #11.
Their 24 points were 68 better than Hopkin High School, while Kaukauna came in third, 105 points behind the Pointers.
Manitowoc Lincoln came in 12th, led by Reid Stryzewski’s 15th-place finish.
