The Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers won their 15th straight Big East Conference football game Friday night, defeating Oostburg 28- 0 in their Homecoming game at Coach Heidrich Field.
The first half was a defensive struggle, and Josiah Martin’s 25-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was the only score, with the Lancers leading 7-0 at the break.
They dominated in the second half as Josiah Martin ripped off a 38-yard touchdown run, and Ethan Brooks added a five-yard score to put the Lancers up 21-0 after three quarters.
Julian Stuebs capped off the scoring with a 32-yard interception return for a touchdown, their fourth of the night, and the victory was complete.
Manitowoc Lutheran’s defense continued its domination of opposing offenses as Oostburg ran 66 plays for just 130 yards, averaging less than two yards per play.
They also forced five Oostburg turnovers and have allowed no defensive touchdowns this season.
(Josiah) Martin had another huge night for the Lancers, carrying the ball 17 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns as they improve to 4-0 in The Big East and 6-0 overall, while Oostburg slips to 2-2 in conference and 3-3 overall.
