The Roncalli/Two Rivers girls’ tennis team hosted Kohler in a close battle last night.
The Jets/Raiders co-op entered the contest on a six-match win streak but fell 4-3 to the Blue Bombers.
The host team’s singles competitors struggled, with Kohler taking the number 1, 2, and 3 flights.
Kinsley Hager was the lone singles competitor to earn a win, dominating Anna Van Dixhorn 6-0, 6-2.
In doubles, Addison Hager and Amelia Schomel had an all-timer against Holley Justinger and Vrisha Choksi.
The host duo fell in the first set, 6-7, but bounced back to claim the second set, 6-4, and the tiebreakers, 10-4.
Meanwhile, Reagan Lundy and Elizabeth Lohr swept Angela Bustos and Avery Fritchen 7-6, 6-1.
The Roncalli/Two Rivers co-op will try to get back on the winning track tomorrow as they participate in the seven-school Sheboygan North Invitational.
Postseason competition begins on October 6th with subsectional competition at The Sports Core in Kohler.
