The Lakeland Esports program will be fundraising to support childhood cancer research this weekend.
With it being Homecoming weekend for the university, the Esports team will be joining in on the festivities with a 24-hour livestream to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The event will officially begin at 1:00 p.m. today (September 25th) and come to an end on Saturday (September 26th) with the goal being to raise $2,000.
This goal has been set for the team to try to surpass the amount raised last year during the same event.
Throughout the livestream, the esports team will compete in various games, large party games, giveaways, and opportunities for others to participate in person or online, all while trying to raise as much money as possible to further childhood cancer research.
