Pinecrest Historical Village will once again become a Civil War encampment this weekend.
Their annual event, Civil War Remembered, takes place tomorrow (September 26th) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday (September 27th) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The honoring of the Civil War includes many ongoing activities, including marching drills, music, tintype photography, and dressmaking, among other things.
The Niles Church bells will ring each day at 10:15 p.m., followed later by the Regimental Volunteer Band of Wisconsin at Nennig Dance Pavilion.
The main event, the full battle reenactment, gets underway at 1:00 p.m. as reenactors stage a battle complete with raging cannons and marching infantry.
Admission costs $15 for adults, $13 for seniors 62 and older, $10 for youth 4-17, and children under four get in for free.
