August was a much better month for home buyers.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association has released its August Home Sales Report, which noted that the median price for a home sold in Manitowoc County was $241,000.
That is $19,000 less than in July, and just over $16,000 less than one year prior.
Additionally, there were more homes sold in August than in any month so far this year, and more than any month in 2025.
The 108 homes sold were 15 more than in July, and 28 more than last year.
For comparison, Sheboygan County’s median price last month for the 130 homes sold was $345,000.
Meanwhile, the statewide median price was $362,000, which is actually $2,000 more than last month and $24,000 more than last August.
It was also a smaller sample size than the previous month, with the 6,571 homes sold being roughly 1,000 fewer than in July and 500 fewer than last August.
