A 17-year-old Portage student is in trouble with the law, accused of bringing a firearm to a high school football game earlier this month.
Authorities looked into reports from witnesses who spotted the armed teenager following a September 11th game at Bob Mael Field, but officers made no immediate arrests.
Police took the suspect into custody this week after receiving additional information, charging the juvenile with possessing a firearm on school grounds and misdemeanor obstruction.
District officials expressed gratitude for the law enforcement response.
