It’s fall cleanup time at Manitowoc’s Evergreen Cemetery.
All decorations must be removed from grave sites by October 1st to allow cemetery staff the opportunity to maintain the park-like beauty of the final resting place of over 30,000 people.
All items not removed by that date will be disposed of, and perennials will be cut down to ground level.
Families will have the opportunity to place winter decorations beginning on November 15th.
As a reminder, decorations should be kept close to the marker, so as to minimize damage from snow blowing for a grave opening in the nearby area.
During winter months, artificial flowers should be put in a container instead of being placed into the ground.
