Crews were called in to clean up after a semi spilled its load on I-41 in Howard yesterday morning.
WBAY reports that the truck was carrying animal remains when it overturned in the roundabout on Shawano Avenue just before 6:30 Monday morning.
A third-party transportation company was moving the remains to Sanimax, which specializes in processing and collecting animal/meat by-products as well as processing and collecting hides.
The spillage ended up flowing across several lanes of traffic and down an embankment into a nearby retention pond.
The cleanup effort took around six hours to complete, and no one was injured.
