There are three meetings on tap for today (September 21st) in the City of Manitowoc.
The Manitowoc Public Utilities Commission will start the evening off in the MPU Offices on South 8th Street at 4:00 p.m., where they will recognize Customer Service Week and Public Power Week.
They will then review the 2027 sewer rates and some revisions to the municipal code.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Committee of the Whole will be in the Council Chambers, where they will discuss the MPSD school voucher program and consider the inclusion of the program on property tax bills, much like was implemented in Two Rivers.
The Common Council will be closing out the day in the Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m., where they will declare October 4th through the 11th as Fire Prevention Week.
Then, after holding public hearings on the warming shelter and storage facility conditional use permit requests, the council will discuss changes to the municipal code related to the regulation of public utilities and wastewater facilities.
