Madison police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early yesterday morning on the city’s north side.
Officers responded to a strip mall parking lot on North Sherman Avenue, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
An officer performed life-saving measures before paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say people were seen scattering and driving away as officers arrived, and no suspects are in custody.
