On Homecoming, the Two Rivers Raiders football team welcomed in the Chilton Tigers.
In what was a rain-filled matchup, the Tigers would spoil the Raiders’ Homecoming, winning 35-14.
After a good return for Chilton on the game’s opening kick, the Tigers’ rushing attack flexed their muscles and found the end zone to take an early 7-0 lead.
Some early mistakes in the game, including a muffed punt and a fumble, put Two Rivers down 20-0 at the half.
Despite receiving the kick to start the second half, penalties halted any momentum the Raiders had as they fell behind by 35 points to start the 4th quarter.
The Raiders would find a spark in the 4th, thanks to two rushing touchdowns from sophomore quarterback Easton Carriveau.
However, that’s all the more Two Rivers would score in the losing effort.
With the loss, the Raiders fall to 2-3 on the year and remain winless in the EWC.
Two Rivers will next be in action on Friday when they travel to take on the Brillion Lions.
