The cities of Waukesha, Oconomowoc, and Racine all voted to part ways with the vendor following council decisions.
Waukesha Police Chief Dan Thompson emphasized that while the technology helps solve crimes, maintaining public trust and transparency is just as essential.
The moves come as several local departments re-examine privacy protections and vendor practices regarding automated camera systems across the state.
