The Cleveland man charged with the sexual assault of his child has been convicted.
37-year-old Joshua Ganzel appeared before Judge Anthony Lambrecht yesterday, where he was found guilty due to no-contest pleas on charges of 1st Degree Child Sex Assault of a Person Under the Age of 13, Repeated Sexual Assault of Same Child, and Soliciting a Child for Prostitution.
Additional charges of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault – Intercourse with Person under 12, Incest with Child, Incest with Child by Stepparent, and Child Sexual Exploitation were dismissed but read into the record.
Ganzel was arrested after it was learned that he had taken nude photos of his daughter, sexually assaulted her, and asked his stepson to participate.
Ganzel’s sentencing was adjourned until his federal case is resolved, but the state did recommend prison time.
Ganzel will be back in Manitowoc County court on December 18th for his sentencing.
