Fond du Lac Police are setting the record straight regarding a recent potential child abduction.
Officers were called to the area of Forest Avenue and South Boardman Street just before 8:00 Friday night on a report of a possible child abduction.
Police officers and detectives spent several hours conducting an investigation, which included “interviews, canvassing the area, reviewing available videos, and following up on all available information and leads.”
It was determined that two individuals were traveling with their pets and had stopped to check on them when they began crying.
This is what led to the initial report, and there was no sign of any abduction.
