Last year’s storms are changing leaf pickup in the City of Two Rivers.
City staff says Department of Public Works crews will begin collecting leaves in early November rather than in October, as in years past.
The adjustment is “part of managing significant staffing and financial resources associated with the May 17th storm and the extensive cleanup effort that followed.”
The later leaf pickup also comes as crews worked into June when residents still needed help.
More information about the November collection schedule and procedures will be shared as the season approaches.
Two Rivers officials finished by thanking residents for their understanding as their Public Works team continues to balance regular city services with the impacts of the May storms.
The storms uprooted trees and knocked down power lines.
