Back pain from bleacher seats is no joke, but Emplify Health is here to help.
Emplify Health by Bellin says that many spectators suffer back pain from sitting for hours on end on hard bleacher seats.
When spectators forget to get up and stretch, joint pain in the spine and hips is a very real possibility.
Alex Smithback, a physical therapist for Emplify Health, says that purchasing stadium seats is a great idea to avoid back pain.
He also says that spectators should avoid crossing their legs and should get up and stretch every 30 minutes.
The type of shoes you wear can make an impact, too.
Try to invest in shoes with good arch support; this will help prevent pain all the way up to your lower back.
If you do experience pain after a couple of nights in the bleachers, reaching out to your doctor isn’t a bad idea.
