The Cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers have 9/11 remembrance ceremonies planned for later today.
A 25th Anniversary remembrance of 9/11 takes place at Red Arrow Park in Manitowoc starting at 5:00 p.m.
The ceremony will feature the National Anthem performed by the Clipper City Chordsmen, followed by remarks from the Manitowoc Fire Chief Ben Kraynek, Manitowoc Police Chief John Musial, and Mayor Justin M. Nickels.
Retired Captain of Detectives Pete McGinty will also perform a bagpipe tribute as part of the ceremony.
In Two Rivers, the September 11 Memorial and Remembrance ceremony will be held at Roger Street Fishing Village from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Hosted by NEW Conservatives Inc., the event will include a presentation of colors by the Wisconsin EMS Association, a reflection from Councilwoman Katherine Dahlke, and a featured speaker, Myra Geraldson.
The Ant Hill Mob will show a timeline of events before Two Rivers Fire Chief Dave Murack reads the names of Wisconsin victims in the attacks.
