The City of Sheboygan is looking to mend its relationship with residents.
At this week’s Common Council meeting, the group unanimously approved a resolution, appropriating approximately $42,000 to Allyson Brunette Consulting and CP2 Consulting for a wide variety of work.
The reason behind this was revealed in City documents, which state, “Sheboygan has experienced considerable organizational change over the past several years, and there is a clear need to reset direction, rebuild internal culture, strengthen trust with the community, and establish priorities for the years ahead.”
The work of the two consulting organizations will include guiding the City “through a comprehensive strategic planning effort that includes developing organizational values, a mission and vision, and strategic priorities for 2028–2032.”
This will be done through interviews with elected officials, community surveys, public engagement activities, strategic planning workshops, and more.
