The Manitowoc Police Department is reminding residents to sign up for its annual run/walk.
It’s the 3rd year in a row for the MTPD Police Chase, which takes place on Saturday, October 17th at Silver Creek Park at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine.
For $30, participants can sign up for the 4-mile run/walk or the 1.5-mile dog walk.
Packet pickup and same-day registration begin at 8:00 a.m., and the route will traverse city parks, grass and gravel trails, and a serene residential neighborhood offering a stunning vista of Lake Michigan.
If you want to bring your four-legged friend, they must be vaccinated for rabies, remain on a leash during the walk, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.
All money raised will benefit the Manitowoc Police Department K9 program and help support the department’s own four-legged members.
