
Volleyball lovers were given a treat last night in Green Bay as Manitowoc Lincoln battled Notre Dame Academy.
The Ships picked up the win 3-1, but the matchup was highly competitive the whole way through.
Both teams came out strong offensively, with the host Tritons taking set one 26-24.
The Ships bounced back to take set two 25-23, and turned on the jets in the final two sets, winning 25-15 and 25-19.
Lincoln is now 9-2 on the season, and 1-0 in the FRCC after last night’s win.
They will recover today before hosting Grafton Saturday morning at the JFK Fieldhouse.
Meanwhile, the Manitowoc Lincoln boys soccer team is looking to build on a win last week and get back to .500 tonight as they travel to Fond du Lac.
The Ships started off the season with a rough set of games, falling 3-1 to Hartford and 4-1 to Ludington, but they bounced back last week with a 3-1 win over Menasha.
The Cardinals enter the matchup at 2-2-1 on the season and are coming off a 2-0 loss to Kimberly.
The game at Fond du Lac High School is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
