Residents can remember the 25th anniversary of 9/11 in several ways tomorrow.
In Manitowoc, the city and members of the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706 will sponsor a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. at Red Arrow Park.
After the service, the Eagles Club will host an open house beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Attendees can stop in for a light dinner and refreshments during the evening of reflection and sharing memories.
Anyone with 9/11 memorabilia they would like to share can bring it to the Eagles Club on Friday between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to set it up for display.
In Two Rivers, the community is invited to attend a memorial for the 9/11 terrorist attacks from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roger Street Fishing Village.
The ceremony will open with a presentation of the colors by the Wisconsin EMS Association, followed by a prayer from Reverend Mike of Universal Life Church.
Two Rivers Councilmember Katherine Dahlke will reflect on September 11th before Veterans and members of the Ant Hill Mob share a timeline of events during the attack.
The featured speaker at the Two Rivers event will be Myra Geraldson, who will present “Reflections on the Impact of 9/11.”
After her speech, Two Rivers Fire Chief Dave Murack will lead a Wisconsin Remembrance followed by a reading of the names of Wisconsin victims.
