Twelve people have been displaced after a kitchen fire in South Milwaukee.
Fire officials responded to the home Tuesday afternoon.
The homeowner said she was outside working on the deck when the fire started in the kitchen, noting she saw smoke “pouring out” of the home’s windows.
The fire was put under control a short time later.
The fire displaced eight adults, four children, and several pets, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
