Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies had a hectic evening on Labor Day.
A deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office reported seeing a vehicle driving at speeds near double the speed limit on Main Street in the City of Fond du Lac at 8:00 Monday evening, and attempted a traffic stop near Guindon Boulevard.
The vehicle instead continued to speed up, eventually turning south onto Highway 175.
Another deputy joined the chase, which came to an end near the intersection with Highway B thanks to the successful use of a tire deflation device.
The driver, only identified as a 20-year-old male from Fox Lake, reportedly got out of his car and began approaching the deputies.
He allegedly ignored orders to stop, so he was shot with a Taser and apprehended.
The suspect was arrested on charges of Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, Suspicion of Operating While Impaired, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, while also receiving multiple traffic citations.
No one was injured in the chase, and no property was damaged.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the City of Fond du Lac Fire/EMS.
