The measles outbreak in southwestern Wisconsin is growing.
Data from the state Department of Health Services shows there are now 151 confirmed cases of the illness, plus six probable cases.
That’s a jump of 15 cases from the previous count last week. Lafayette has the most confirmed cases at 71 and also has the six probable cases.
Iowa County isn’t far behind at 62 confirmed cases, followed by Grant County at 18.
The agency noted that the growing number of cases shows ongoing transmission among those who were previously identified as having measles.
