The Chamber of Manitowoc County has announced which schools will participate in its annual financial literacy event.
The Reality Store returns on Thursday, October 1st, beginning at Kiel High School, then stops at Reedsville High School on October 7th.
There will be a break after that, before the Reality Store stops at Manitowoc Lincoln High School on February 25th then wraps up at Roncalli High School on March 11th.
Volunteers are needed for various booths at the event to help assist students in making financial choices, among other needs.
The Reality Store gives students the chance to choose a future career and receive a monthly salary before they move through the different booths to spend it.
They must first stop at “Uncle Sam” for a tax deduction and then proceed to “The Bank/Credit Union” for a student loan deduction.
Students will visit 15 other booths to make purchases for life, such as a car, a home, groceries, etc.
