A local high school teacher will be educating college students on the U.S. Constitution later this month.
Lakeland University has shared that Sheboygan North social studies teacher Tom Yedica will deliver the school’s annual Constitution Day lecture on September 17th.
The Lecture will take place on the Lakeland campus inside the Younger Family Campus Center Event Space at 11:00 a.m.
The college noted in the announcement, “His presentation, ‘The Constitution Viewed Through the Lens of Sacred Space and Sacred Time,’ will explore how the U.S. Constitution has been interpreted not only as a governing document, but also as part of the nation’s collective identity and history.”
In 2004, the federal government designated September 17th as National Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, in honor of the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
Yedica’s lecture is free to attend and open to the public.
