The Wisconsin Department of Health is encouraging parents to check their children’s vaccination records.
This comes after a recent surge of measles cases in the state.
The department said up-to-date vaccinations help protect children from serious vaccine-preventable diseases.
State Health Officer Paul Tran added that “now is the best time for families to make sure their children have the protection they need to support their own health, and the health of their classrooms.”
Vaccine status for children and adults can be checked on the Wisconsin Immunization Registry.
