A local school district will be looking to pass a facilities referendum for the third consecutive election cycle.
The School District of Sheboygan Falls will be asking for voter approval on a $65.7 million facility referendum during the November election after failed attempts in 2024 and 2025.
The latest referendum comes in at a lower price tag than previous attempts and with a concentrated focus on three key areas: enhancing safety and accessibility, expanding educational experiences, and addressing aging facilities and infrastructure.
This third attempt comes after district leaders went back to the drawing board to prioritize key needs while also conducting a community survey to gauge public opinion.
To share information on the new referendum question and receive more feedback, the district will be holding four public comment sessions on September 23rd and 28th and October 12th and 13th.
