The second release of the Manitowoc County Cross Country Honor Roll for the week ending August 30th was released on Tuesday.
The list compiled by Abbey and Michael Bubolz finds Manitowoc Lincoln junior Reid Stryzewski topping the overall boys list with a time of 16 minutes and 42 seconds.
He’s joined by senior teammates Tucker Goff, who comes in fifth (17:59), and Logan Backus, who checks in at number eight (18:17).
Manitowoc Lutheran has four of the top ten boys’ runners this week.
Junior Phil Melso is second (17:18), senior JJ Sweeney is fourth (17:51), while sophomores Josh Welch (18:20) and Max Ciha (18:32) come in at number nine and ten, respectively.
Roncalli junior Elliot Onesti comes in third this week (17:29).
Valders sophomore Kolten Schisel is sixth on this week’s honor roll (18:07), and his teammate senior Lucas Mills is seventh (18:14).
Manitowoc Lincoln senior Natalie Portmann has the top girls time countywide with a time of 19:23, five seconds better than her teammate junior Norah Free (19:28), while Lincoln freshman Ava Wetenkamp checks in at number 4 (20:13).
Two Rivers has three runners in the top ten. Freshmen Andi Gallagher (19:40) and Leighton Erickson (20:25) are third and fifth, respectively, and Raiders junior Allie Gallagher is ninth (21:03).
Junior Paige Backus of Valders checks in at number six (20:26) with Mishicot teammates, junior Juliana Doerner (20:55) and senior Haley Dondlinger (21:01 posting the seventh and eighth best times, respectively.
Meanwhile, the top boys’ runners in each class for week two are Manitowoc Lutheran freshman Phil Melso, Sophomore Lucas Mills of Valders, his Viking teammate junior Kolten Schisel and Manitowoc Lincoln senior Reid Stryzweski.
The top girls’ runners ranked by class in Manitowoc County for week two are freshman Andi Gallagher of Two Rivers, Manitowoc Lutheran’s Temperance Farmer tops the sophomore class, with Manitowoc Lincoln junior Noah Free and Ships senior Natalie Portmann rounding out this week’s list.
