
Numerous hunting seasons are set to begin this month across Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding residents that the 2026 early goose season opens today (September 1st), offering hunters increased daily bag limits.
The early season will run until September 15th, with the regular goose season opening the following day (September 16th).
Then, on September 9th, bear season opens in select zones.
On September 12th, turkey hunting season will open, along with the archery and crossbow deer hunting season across the entire state.
Finally, on September 19th, the youth waterfowl and woodcock hunting seasons are slated to begin as well.
Those looking to take part in the early Canada Goose season will be required to carry with them either an electronic or physical copy of their small game license, early Canada goose permit, HIP registration, as well as proof of purchase of a state waterfowl stamp and federal Duck Stamp at all times.
