A massive wall collapse in Milwaukee’s Harbor District has prompted emergency road closures near Bruce and Water streets.
Crews responded Monday afternoon to find a three-story hole ripped open in the side of the old National Warehouse Corporation building.
Emergency responders safely evacuated nearby office workers, but the Heavy Urban Rescue Team determined the partially collapsed structure remains too unstable for search teams to enter.
Fire officials have secured a perimeter as they warn the rest of the vacant building could still cave in.
